Appointments and Repeat Prescriptions
Making Appointments
You will need to make an appointment to see one of the doctors or practice nurses. Please telephone the surgery on 020 8673 1720. To make an appointment via the website you would need to register at the surgery for this service. Please refer to online appointment booking below for more information. We do not offer a Walk-in Service. If you need to be seen and do not have an appointment, please contact reception via telephone and they will advise you. Each person needs his or her own appointment. If more than one person needs to be seen, please book a separate appointment for each individual. You can usually choose which doctor you would like to see but for continuity of care it is advised that you see the same doctor on each visit.
Cancelling Appointments
We understand that sometimes patients may not be able to attend their booked appointment and may need to reschedule. It would greatly assist the surgery if you would telephone in advance to notify us that you would not be able to keep your appointment. This would mean that other patients who need medical attention could be seen much sooner. Please telephone reception and give your name, the date and time of your appointment.
Online Appointment Booking
We have an Internet Appointment Booking System, which enables patients to book appointments online. This service also allows our patients the ability to request repeat prescriptions via the Internet. Patients will be required to register at the surgery to use this service (proof of photo identification required). Ask a receptionist for your registration details.
Once you have registered at the surgery, you will then be able to logon and view appointments you have already made, cancel them if necessary, and book an appointment with your doctor for any available times.
These appointments are NOT for medicals, cervical smears, baby checks or any procedures requiring an extended appointment. We do not yet have nurse appointments online. If you are in doubt about using this service please telephone the surgery.
Not registered yet, activate your account now.
If already registered logon to book an appointment, request a repeat prescription or send a low priority message to Patient Services.
We take the security of our patients' information very seriously. We ensure that the information you provide when using the Internet appointment booking facility is protected. All communications with the emisaccess website are encrypted, using 128 bit SSL. Only you can see the personal information you enter.
Repeat Prescriptions
If your doctor has agreed, you can ask for repeat prescriptions of your regular treatment without being seen. You can request this in person at the surgery, by fax or by using the Internet Appointment Booking System. When requesting a prescription in person or by fax please include your name, address, date of birth and the exact name, strength and dosage of your drugs. When requesting an Internet prescription request, a list of repeat drugs previously issued to you will be available as a picking list. Ask a receptionist how you can register for this service. Prescriptions will be ready within 48 hours excluding weekends and bank holidays. If you send us a stamped, addressed envelope we can post your prescription to you. Under no circumstances will we accept prescription requests over the telephone. The doctors will ask you to come and see them for a medication review at least once a year, or more regularly depending on your condition, to find out how you are. The GP or nurse may need to contact you about your repeat prescription, please ensure that we have a telephone number where we can contact you when you request a prescription .
